Thanks for your earlier response. Another few questions:
1) Perusing the course schedule I found
   Biochemical Evolution by Watt
   Genetics (Eukaryotes) by Regnery
      Do you know anything, pro or con, about either?
2) I got a card from the bookstore re: the Scientific American book-
    They claim the "MOLECULAR basis of Life" is out of print,
    but has been replaced by Hanawalt-Haynes 
    "CHEMICAL basis of Life". Is this the desired book?
    (ie What is the title of the book Mark lent you?)
